Our goal has always been to create a healthy, sustainable, and warm company that treats people the way we would want to be treated. No matter if we have seven employees or seven hundred, the golden rule will forever be at our core. We have been extremely blessed and fortunate to have assembled the team we currently have on our roster. In recent years, the significant growth of the firm has expedited our need to expand the leadership structure of the firm to ensure its continued growth and independence.
We are excited to announce the first round of partners below:
Matt Meredith
Matt began working part-time for the firm in 1995 at the age of 10. He sharpened pencils, shred paper, kept printers running, and made food runs next door to ensure the employees always had breakfast waiting for them. He absorbed many business lessons and picked up an entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. Matt played college basketball at Texas Wesleyan while working with multiple startups. Matt graduated from Dallas Baptist University with majors in Marketing and Business Communication. After much deliberation and recruitment to get him back within the firm, we were thrilled to have him back full time in 2011. Since then, he has been instrumental in growing the firm significantly and navigating all the hurdles that come with it. Matt also serves as the President of GreenBean IT and SOC Vantage. Matt will continue to oversee Operations and Marketing for MCPAs.
Harvey Cox, CPA
Harvey began working for the firm shortly after he got out of the Air Force in 1988. He subsequently graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He was hired away from the firm by clients a couple of times over the years, but returned with new skills and wider business perspective. He has 34 years of combined experience in public accounting and industry including working as a CFO in a real estate development/acquisition company, and as an accounting information systems consultant. Harvey is the firm’s go-to person for difficult and complex tax and accounting issues. Harvey will be our Tax Partner.
Abigail Fletcher, CPA
Abby is currently a Tax Manager at MeredithCPAs. She has 18 years of experience in both public accounting and industry with a concentration in accounting and tax consulting, planning and compliance. Abby graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting in May of 2004 from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree in May of 2006. She obtained her CPA license in January of 2008. Abby began her career in public accounting with Collier Johnson & Woods, PC and KPMG prior to moving into industry where she held positions as Tax Manager, Controller, and CFO. She chose to return to public accounting in 2016 where she could pursue her passion for helping growing businesses and entrepreneurs navigate the tax and accounting world. Abby will be our Partner in charge of Advisory Services.
Lisa Lott, CPA, CIA, CFE
Lisa is the Audit Manager at MeredithCPAs. She is a University of South Florida graduate with a Master’s of Accountancy. She has earned the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She began her career as a CPA with KPMG and Deloitte, and then practiced as an internal auditor and accountant with Halliburton Company. Lisa began her career at MeredithCPAs in 2006 and is highly respected by both her peers and clients. Lisa will be our Audit Partner.
