Our History
Meredith & Associates was founded in 1986 by Karen Meredith with a simple vision: provide growing businesses and successful individuals with the expertise of a large accounting firm while delivering the personalized service and trusted relationships of a smaller one. Over the years, as the firm expanded its team, services, and reach, the practice evolved into what is now known as MeredithCPAs—while remaining committed to the same client-first philosophy on which it was built.
Before launching the firm, Karen built an impressive career serving in senior leadership roles at Deloitte and as Chief Financial Officer of a NYSE company. She recognized that many privately held businesses needed more than traditional accounting services—they needed strategic financial guidance from someone who understood business operations from the inside out. At the same time, she wanted to create a public accounting firm that offered greater work-life balance and meaningful career opportunities for women in public accounting.
Karen’s entrepreneurial journey laid the foundation for what MeredithCPAs is today. With the growth mindset, team skills, and strategic leadership of her son, Matt, the firm has grown into a team of more than 60 professionals serving private companies, business owners, medical professionals, and high-net-worth families. Today, our clients operate across all 50 states and in numerous countries, representing industries including healthcare, manufacturing, construction, home building, technology, and nonprofit organizations.

Continuing Our Evolution
As the needs of business owners have evolved, so has our firm.
In 2015, we refreshed our brand as MeredithCPAs, reflecting our continued commitment to delivering exceptional tax, accounting, and consulting services. Today, we are building on that legacy through Meredith Vantage, our expanded advisory brand operating within an alternative practice structure.
Meredith Vantage allows us to broaden the services we provide beyond traditional accounting, offering strategic business advisory, Client Accounting Services (CAS), technology consulting, staffing and recruiting, and other specialized solutions designed to help businesses grow with confidence.
While our services have expanded over the years, our mission has remained unchanged: to help others manage their finances and businesses wisely. We believe our success is measured by the success of our clients. As our clients grow and prosper, so do we. Nearly four decades after Karen Meredith founded the firm, we continue to honor her vision by helping businesses and families navigate the future with confidence.
